Johnny Curtis first met Tom Sweitzer at age 15 while attending the Hill School—even before A Place To Be officially began. Once APTB opened its doors, he became an active participant in most of the programs offered: music therapy sessions, camps, plays, and special events like holiday performances and the Same Sky Project. Over the years, Johnny has performed in more shows than he can count, always bringing his love of music and his contagious energy to the stage.
Now 33, Johnny works with The Arc of Loudoun in maintenance and enjoys hobbies like singing, dancing, gardening, and playing sports such as basketball, baseball, and bowling.
A fun fact about Johnny: he loves people and expresses himself through singing and dance, spreading joy wherever he goes.
He’s currently excited about singing with the Creative Dreamers Choir, an inclusive community for people with disabilities who enjoy performing popular songs.
Looking ahead, Johnny is most looking forward to sharing time with friends and family while keeping the songs flowing, his feet tapping, and playing sports.
